A celebration of visual arts in the Mission featuring live demonstrations of visual art at participating venues on Calle 24 Latino Cultural District
Saturday, June 9, 2018
*Pecha Kucha* (Japanese: ぺちゃくちゃ) is an arts presentation style in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each. The format, which keeps presentations concise and fast-paced, powers multiple-speaker events called PechaKucha Nights. The Mission Pecha Kucha will pay homage to the powerful legacy of visual arts in the Mission District of San Francisco, including its famous political murals and “Street” art style. The event will celebrate and recognize visual artists who live and/or work in the Mission District as well as those artists whose work reflects solidarity and a strong sense of cultural heritage. Artists will present their work live in short demonstrations for an interactive audience.
Pecha Kucha features: Paul Lewin, Juana Alicia, and Caleb Duarte
